The lessons that can be learnt
from this experience is that you should stay calm when evacuating and be more
alert. You should also have a few allies and friends from other countries to
help you out in your time of need. After one experience you should be more
intelligent of the situation and could look more into that subject of more
knowledge. You should have geologists or people with knowledge of eruptions
nearby for help and advice. Build dams and big holes to stop the lava from
flowing and have equipment to help change direction and cool of the lava. As
Sicily have lots of experience of eruptions they will take that knowledge and
help be prepared for the distant future. They should have lots of allies to help
them save lives. They should now be aware of the circumstances and effects that
the eruptions have on them and should apply this knowledge effectively. They
should be fully prepared for the future that lies ahead and make the civilians
feel that they are in safe hands and will be looked after. The civilians should
not feel scared in the night or in the day. The only way that can happen is that
they know what they are doing and can tell the civilians that in detail to
ensure their safety. After all of this is achieved, the country can be safe and
they can start making tourist attractions and getting money. However if the
knowledge they have gained is not applied in the right way, this small island
could again fall into a downfall.
